West Clare Railway has now laid two miles of track and train rides are now available after 40 yrs. A day on the railway is an experience not to be missed.
The West Clare Railway is in Moyasta, County Clare and is a heritage narrow gauge railway museum.
A key feature at the museum is the original steam engine ‘The Slieve Callan’ – built by German Engineer, Henry Dubs & Co in 1892 in Glasgow. The engine has been fully restored and is in operation at the museum.
The station house has the original ticket office, Waiting Room and Ladies Waiting Room.
